For the safety of everyone in Red Deer, it’s time we increase firefighter staffing. 

We don’t have enough firefighters for our growing city. Our local heroes are working without enough help or resources. They’ve been sounding the alarm, but our Mayor and City council still aren’t listening.

When there’s an emergency like a house fire or a car accident, seconds count. If there aren’t enough firefighters on shift, response times could be too slow. In that extra time, homes could burn down—and lives could be put at risk. Maybe even the lives of your own friends and family. 

With a municipal election coming up this fall, new candidates are running for Mayor and council in Red Deer. We need to make restoring safe firefighter staffing levels an issue our Mayor and council can’t ignore. 

Now is the time to speak up for hiring more firefighters. The safety of everyone in Red Deer is at risk.
