Send your letter to City Council today

Red Deer City Council is about to decide whether or not to keep full control of our power. There will be a public hearing on June 23 to get feedback on proposed changes to our electric utility. It’s time to tell City Council what you think.

Right now, the City of Red Deer makes 41% of its revenue from our publicly owned and operated utilities. That revenue could be at risk if our City Council sets up a new municipally controlled corporation (MCC) to handle power delivery instead.

Creating a new power company could move our electricity one step closer to privatization—meaning higher bills for you.

Use your voice to make sure Red Deer’s electricity stays publicly owned and operated. Send a letter today, before City Council makes a final decision.
